It is designed to reveal the inner workings of the mind, will, and emotions and the pilgrimage to awakening.
Authors edit, 5th March 2023 – Today marks 3 years since Phoenix was publish. Since that time, I have discovered that I am Autistic and as I read back through this work, I see the markers of a mind breaking free from the confines of society, judging life in unique ways and pushing my way through to a new sense of being. My history is what it is but my future has a new light on it and the path feels brighter.

How Phoenix came about…
Each poem was written independently and many written years apart. I had never thought of putting them all together until November 2019, when, after suddenly finding myself without a job, I had a lot of time on my hands.
I had already begun working on the book but now began in earnest, collating everything and anything that looked like a poem. I had over three hundred pieces of narrative prose, poetry, aphorisms, and a bucket full of lyrics, blog posts, and other writings.
This set me up to pick the best for Phoenix, with some pieces going through many iterations and some staying as the original with my compilation speaking to the unique journey toward mental wellness and Divine intervention.
I am grateful for the time I was given to put this work together and pray you find encouragement within its pages.
