I didn't understand the power that comes from respecting my own space; that being clean, tidy and organised isn't about keeping up with the Stepford Wives, but about truly loving who I (and my family, by extension) am.
Yesterday was 22 years since Andrew and I tied the not. I thought, back then, that I knew what love looked like. What it felt like and how to be loving. Boy, was I so naive! It was all those things but so much more than I can even now put into words.
Over the weekend I volunteered for a local community-based expo called Rethink Your World. I had a blast with Seeds Newcastle that organised the expo and I have learned a great deal about how physical, mental and spiritual health intertwine and support each other for optimum health. I took notes. Mostly because I selfishly want to … Continue reading World Mental Health Day: 9 Ways to Rethink Your Health and Influence Your Mental Health

So today is supposed to be my last day of work for the year - self imposed, self directed. I still have work to complete that I think might be done today but I am not convinced it will be. Good Lord! The kind … Continue reading Gratitude Day 4 – Treasure the Moments that Shape Us
The best part was the way we connect. There is something so special to me as a parent to know that my child can share his heart without fear of it going further; that there is a freedom to express his views even when he knows we will ultimately agree to disagree.
There was a time in my life when I would have brushed this idea aside and rushed forward anyway, forgetting about what everyone else needed from me, forgetting time itself and therefore the need to be organised, provide food, be a good mum, etc.
So today's blog is a bit different. I've been asked to share a new recipe I made up today for Paleo Frittata Muffins. I can't claim the full idea as my own as I got it from another website but I will share the version I created to match our family tastes 🙂
