Poet, Speaker, Creative

I am a poet, writer, blogger, thinker, picture taker, and music maker.

My brand new poetry collection, Phoenix, is a collection focused on the real intersection between mental illness, spirituality, and healing and is now available in eBook and paperback.

I am a wife, mother to two strapping lads, proud mother-in-law and grandma to two exceptionally transfixing granddaughters and crazy-dog-lady trying to keep up with a super active puppa.

When not writing, you might find me at the piano, in a coffee shop, or wandering down some obscure laneway snapping pics as I go.

I am available to speak at your school, church, community or business event and will tailor topics to suit your desired focus.

Current Works

For me, words matter above all other forms of expression but are often accompanied by other mediums of creativity. I am not afraid to experiment and like to dabble with multiple mediums so you might find my work on Instagram with some related background, in lyric or instrumental form on one of my experimental albums, through digital art or photography or experience them on a podcast or video: it just depends on what feels best for that piece.

About Phoenix

Phoenix is an abstract poetic exploration of acknowledgement, facing the hard stuff and finding healing. Each poem reveals a portion of the road travelled and is a transparent and sincere study of a mind fighting its way free from illness, grabbing hold of spiritual hope and setting itself free.

This collection is focused on the real intersection between mental illness and connecting with spirituality and healing, giving an opportunity to open up the conversation about the power of God that undergirds my personal journey from illness to wellness.

“Authentic, transparent and raw”

“Phoenix took me by surprise both visually and intellectually”

“I love ‘normal’ poetry, but found that I could appreciate your style in a different way.”

“Moving and eloquent. Looking forward to Volume 2!”

The motion in your poetry is beautiful. I love the rise and fall in the style, which matched the rise and fall of the urge and the pen….
