So it’s now just 15 days until Christmas, 2015. For the past week and a bit I have been writing about the things in life that I am most grateful about but today I felt like it was time to say something about the people I’ve been doing life with.
Because what is a life of gratitude if it does not give homage to the people who help you, push you, pick you up and guide you? These are just a few of them – and they are on this list because they deserve some business kudos and not because of any particular family relationship or whatever.
They just happen to be awesome at what they do and I think with only 15 days left before Christmas, they deserve the plug (hint, hint).
Andrew Church – Kreative Kaizen Business Consultant
Andrew is the person to talk to when you need to understand what’s going on in your business. Productivity, Change Management and Lean Thinking are on top of his list of knowledgable topics and having saved Aussie businesses over $60 million dollars so far in lost revenue, it’s worth your time to connect.
One of the most creative clients I have had, with a head full of ideas, Andrew and his staff have also founded The Central Coast Interactive War Exhibit in Gosford, NSW. Go there. It’s awesome.
Andrew writes a positive and encouraging blog which you can access through his author Facebook page.
You can take a look at his groovy self help business books here. They’ll make great gifts for Christmas!
Hybrid Expression – Graphic Design
THE go to graphic design and print company for high end, elegant and professional design. Having worked with Mel and Jo over the past two years, I can vouch for their attention to detail, exceptional standards and quality work. Here is their Facebook page.
Mel is also an incredible illustrator and has just set up a gorgeous store called Pequena Tienda (Tiny Shop) to showcase her work. If you’re lucky there might be some Christmas cards left!
Danielle Chiel Label – Luxury Hand Knits
Founder of Danielle Chiel Label, the most exquisite hand made woollen garments you will ever come across. Haute Tricot is her new book which I believe will be out soon, so catch Danielle over at www.daniellechiel.com for more information.
Danielle’s garments, seen here on Facebook, are made with sumptuous high quality wools and each garment is hand knitted by one individual, so attention to detail is second to none. These garments would be the ultimate Christmas gift for the discerning loved one that you’re not sure what to buy!
Christina Gerakeytis – Ideation and Work, Business Coach
Christina is a business coach, located in Newcastle. She is also the founder of Ideation at Work were they inspire positive growth and change through creativity and ideation. You can follow their events on Facebook.
She socks a punch worth taking when you’re in need of some business direction, runs inspiring workshops and even greater one to one mentoring worth your money and your time. You won’t be disappointed when you get in touch.
Susie Steele – Susie’s Candles and Melts
Susie has been a personal friend for nearly 10 years and recently set up a little cottage industry called Susie’s Candles and Melts. They’re just gorgeous and I know that she would never ask me to plug her business.
But everyone deserves a leg up sometimes. Buy her candles. Support local and give someone something smelly for Christmas 😛
Michelle Smith – Start Up Mum Australia
Michelle is one of my newest friends in cyber space, who I have had the great pleasure to meet in person. She is the founder of Startup Mum Australia, runs a very busy Facebook group to support mums all over the country and deserves a medal for all her hard work and effort.
Michelle has really helped me feel like I can keep pushing through to reach my goals and she has a great resource filled website you can go and get lost in. Enjoy! And sign up for the Facebook group. It’s awesome!
Dance Element Studios – Sydney Dance Company and Studio
Founders Natalie Newling and Jess Butler run Dance Element Studios like a well oiled machine. Producing some of Sydney’s most beautiful and inspiring dance expression, they care deeply about each student and deliver incredible teaching that inspires them throughout the year.
I’d love to say that I have benefited from their tuition but this would be a lie – I’m still banned from dancing in public by my boys (LOL) but if you’ve got a little one in the northern areas of Sydney, I would highly recommend looking into DES. Follow them on Facebook for regular updates too.
Opus in Wood – Luxury Bespoke Handmade Wood & Paper Crafts
Opus in Wood is one of the most unique artisan companies I have had the pleasure to work with. Matthew Miles has an attention to detail that is only surpassed by the work he creates.
Trained in industrial design, he is an master craftsman in furniture, bespoke pieces and now has his own online store selling smaller more portable (aka, Christmas worthy!) pieces for you to drool over and then spend money on. Their Facebook page is always full of shareable designs to inspire even the most fussy creative mind!
Belinda Ingels – Author and Motivational Speaker
Belinda is the author of Ferocious for Joy, a wonderful and easy read that I had the pleasure of beta reading before its release earlier this year.
Belinda’s heart to see everyone experience true joy is contagious and I highly recommend purchasing her book through Amazon and following her on Facebook.
Sarah Rowan Dahl – Interactive Live Artist
Sarah is unique – not just in her type of art but in how she does it. Live. To music. She’s extraordinary. I’ve watched her work. It’s inspiring and now she sells her amazing prints online so that you can get your own as an iPhone cover, bedding, or even wall hangings and throw rugs.
I love Sarah’s energy and I really believe in the kind of art she is producing. It has a life to it that stands on its own and if you can afford one of her prints, it will bring so much joy into your house it will be worth the cost! She also does custom work. This is her Facebook page.
Sheryl Less – Author, Letters to Myself
Sheryl is one of those totally unassuming people you meet in cyber land and wonder how on earth you never met before. Passionate, her writing is charged with emotion and her story about Cassie and her struggles resonates with many readers.
This is a wonderful story and it’s just fantastic so click the link and get your own copy of this book! Follow Sheryl on Facebook too as she’s been releasing blog posts about the story and it’s continuation.
So this are just some of the amazing people I have worked with this year and to them all, I say, Thank You!
I genuinely ask you to consider stalking their sites and finding something you can purchase from these wonderful hard working Australians. I just know they will love you for it!

Much love and unashamed Friend Plugging,
